Description
In the first half of the course, this continuation of College Physics I (PHY251) covers the following topics: basic topics in electricity and magnetism, electromagnetic radiation, the nature of light, and optics. In the second half, the course covers an introduction to some basic ideas in modern physics. It also covers these additional topics: atomic structure, quantization, and nuclear physics. Course meets: 3 hrs. lecture; 3 hrs. lab. Prerequisite: College Physics I/Lab (PHY251). Pre/co-requisite: A Grade of C or higher in Calculus II (MAT-282).
